If you're attending online singing lessons via Zoom, having the right setup can greatly improve sound clarity and learning effectiveness.


Below is a beginner-friendly and advanced Zoom singing setup guide to help you get the best audio quality from home.


Option 1: Simple Zoom Setup for Beginners


What you need:

  • Laptop/tablet/phone (for Zoom)
  • Earphones/headphones (wired preferred)
  • Stable Wi-Fi
  • Quiet room
  • Water + lyrics ready

Optional: second phone/tablet to play the backing track or speakers connected to your music source.


Pros:

  • Easy to start
  • No need to buy gear
  • Good enough for beginners

Limitations:

  • Zoom/phone mic may not capture high notes clearly
  • Backing track and voice balance may be less accurate

Option 2: Advanced Zoom Setup for Better Audio Clarity


What you need:

  • Laptop/tablet (for Zoom)
  • Digital USB mixer/audio interface (with USB output to computer) (e.g. live-streaming type mixer)
  • Microphone (XLR mic or compatible mic)
  • Headphones/earphones

  • More equipment/cables
